INTERDICTION A Tabletop Roleplaying Game of Gothic Apocalypse

Quick Start Rulebook • First Edition

The countdown hit zero and the fireworks went up over the harbor. Then the streetlights guttered — all of them, all at once — and a sound rolled through the sky that was not thunder and did not end. On January 1, 2000 the Interdict cracked: the wall that had kept Heaven and Hell off the Earth since the Crucifixion. The angels want a way home. The stranded demons carve small empires and keep one whisper-line open to Hell. The witches were already here. You are one of the Awakened — a mortal who woke at the millennium with the spark of Creation in your hands.

Interdiction is a complete first-edition tabletop RPG of mortal-scale gothic horror. You are not a demigod. You are a night-shift nurse, a priest with a pistol, a mechanic who saw something walk the alley.

This Quick Start book contains everything you need to play:

  • Pointers into the full First Edition core rulebook
  • The Empty Casket, a two-hour first adventure
  • Four ready Awakened
  • Blood, fear, and Creation magic — only what tonight needs
